What a fun week we have had!
We had a visitor who came in and taught us some gymnastics.
We pretended to be different animals moving across the mats at different levels. We also learnt the tuck, straddle and pike positions!
Frogs hopping about! Straddle and stretch.
Slithering snakes! Listening to instructions. Crocodiles creeping!
On Tuesday morning we had a whiole school remembrance service. Year 1 presented small poppies to be made into a wreath. In class we completed our poppies and stuck a thought or prayer on the back to help us remember all those who have fought in wars.
We continue to learn our new story for this term, ‘A New Home for a Pirate.’ We are learning actions to help us remember key parts of the story and we have a story map to help us too.
Our story map. Eye patch! A view from a hill!
In science we continued to look at the seasons and the weather.
We went outside to record what the weather was like.
Which way was the wind blowing? Which direction? How strong? Had it rained? What clouds were there in the sky? What was the temperature?
So many questions to answer!

As well as all of this we continued to complete our missing number addition sentences in maths, we’re getting much better at them!
Visit the blog on Monday to see what the week has in store for us…
Have a great weekend, now go and identify some clouds!
