What a wonderful day to spend at Dover Castle!
In the morning, Rabbits toured the Keep trying to see how many items they could spot on their alphabet challenge. Many stairs were climbed and it was certainly worth it for the impressive view from the top.
Meanwhile, Owls took on the medieval tunnels and a walk up to the cannons. It was such a steep descent and climb but with the glorious sunshine it was a great way to spend the morning.
Our learning the day before about the features of a castle proved useful and it was good to see what battlements actually looked like at the top of the tower, or the drawbridge as we entered the castle.
With the weather on our side we could picnic out in the open before we swapped over to do the other activity before we left to return to school.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and we are excited to see where our learning for the rest of the term will take us.
From, Rabbits and Owls.
